Nora Grey is your average high school student, who is focusing on her grades and her best friend, Vee. She really is not worried about guys or romance. That is, until Patch shows up. He is dark, edgy, and mysterious, and no matter how much he irritates her, she still finds herself attracted to him. Soon after he appears, someone seems to start following her, and trying to hurt her. Are these strange and terrifying events connected to Patch? Is something unnatural surrounding his existence?

Hush, Hush started with a very similar feeling to Twilight. Strange, mysterious guy becomes the female’s lab partner. They bicker, yet flirt until they start to hang out. Hmmm. After about a quarter of the book it definitely takes a turn in comparative plot. I really enjoyed the suspense in this book. It was built very slowly, but solidly, and was really pleasing to follow. Although I tagged this as a paranormal romance, it is mainly paranormal, with a hint of high school romance. I was definitely happy to see it rely more on the suspense of the story instead of the romance. It made it feel a lot less cheesy then if it would have relied on the high school love drama.
