Wemberly worried about everything. Her entire family just thought she worried too much. When it came time for Wemberly to start school, she began to worry even more. She worried that she wouldn’t fit in, and that no one would like her. On her first day of school she meets another little girl who is very similar to her. Her new friend helps her to worry much less than before!
This book is really fun. It is full of adorable pictures of a little worried mouse. What I love so much about this book is how realistic the story is. Maybe most kids don’t worry excessively about all the little things in life the way that Wemberly does. However, little kids do worry about big new events like starting school. They also worry about making friends and fitting in. This book shows that if we can just be ourselves, we can make friends. I also like the bit of repetitiveness in text, and the way some pages utilize different fonts and sizes of text. Great Lesson!
