Bully’s farmyard friends ask him to play, but he is mean and a Bully. He calls all of his friends names and scares them away. This goes on until one of the animals confronts him, and he sees what it feels like to have someone be mean to him.
This is such a sweet book that packs a valuable lesson. It teaches that it is not nice to be a bully, but it also shows that the bully might have had something to happen to him, to make him that way. There is very minimal text, and they are all in the form of quotes from the farm animals. Even with having so few words, they are clever and make quite and impact! I also love the illustrations. They are simple, bright, and revealing. Each time an animal is sad or scared, you can see it in their face, you can almost feel their pain and sadness. The ending is the icing on the cake!
